We have a Winter storm warning on through Friday morning with 3 - 5 inches of snow expected for Cheyenne, 5 – 8 inches expected north and west of Cheyenne and as much as 12” north of a line from Torrington to Encampment. You’re better off if you are heading south into Colorado.

We’ve had rain, freezing rain, sleet, snow and dangerous wind-chill factors. Our heaviest snowfall amounts should fall between 4 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday.

A winter storm warning is in effect until Friday morning at 11 a.m., and it’s wreaking havoc on stretches west of Cheyenne, with winter driving conditions, that’s caused a closure.

I-80 is CLOSED from Rawlins to Laramie, then you’re dealing with snow, blowing and drifting snow, slick conditions and limited visibility on I-80 between Laramie and Cheyenne.  Then that stretch of I-80 dries out from Cheyenne east through Pine Bluffs and all the way to the Nebraska State Line.

I-25  is slick with snowfall between Cheyenne and the Colorado State Line,

I-25 is slick with snowfall and foggy conditions from Cheyenne north to Chugwater, then slick and snowy further north into Douglas and Casper.

Hwy 85 is slick with snowfall between Cheyenne and the Colorado State Line,

Hwy 85 is slick with snowfall, fog and limited visibility between Cheyenne and Meriden.

Hwy 287 is slick with snowfall, blowing and drifting snow and limited visibility between Laramie and the Colorado State Line
