Normally, at this time of year, ski resorts in the Pacific Northwest will have the deepest snow pack in the country.  However, this year, Wyoming resorts are seeing more snow than usual.  The website Snow Brains just released an early season report listing the Top 10 Deepest Snow Packs in the USA and two popular Wyoming resorts are ranked in the top five.

The Grand Targhee Resort, located in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest in Alta, Wyoming, currently boasts the second deepest snow pack in the nation with 83 inches of powder.  The nearby Jackson Hole Mountain Resort isn't far behind.  Jackson's 75 inch snow pack is ranked fourth in the country.

Overall, it's been a great early ski and boarding season for resorts in the Northern Rockies, with 9 of the top 10 snow packs located in Montana, Idaho or Wyoming. Check out the full list here.
