UPDATE (11:15 a.m. Thursday):

Sgt. Kyle McKay with the Wyoming Highway Patrol released further details about Wednesday's fatal crash.

McKay says a 2005 Dodge pickup had a left-front tire failure and ran off the left side of I-25 near mile marker 177.

The truck went into the median, where it rolled roughly two and a half times.

The driver -- a man whose name and age have not been released -- was not wearing his seatbelt and was completely thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Wyoming Patrol is investigating a fatal crash east of Casper on Wednesday afternoon, Patrol Lt. Clinton Haver said.

A pickup was traveling northbound on Interstate 25 when a tire apparently failed causing the crash about five miles east of Casper, Haver said.

The victim is a male, age unknown, he said.

There appeared to be no other people or vehicles involved.
