Every year, thousands of craft beer enthusiasts from all over the world come to Denver for the annual Great American Beer Festival. The event features over 750 breweries, 3,500 beers, and 60,000 thirsty attendees.

This year, seven of Wyoming's best breweries will be competing in several different categories. Black Tooth Brewing Company of Sheridan, Clear Creek Brewing of Bufflo, Melvin Brewing of Jackson, Roadhouse Brewing Company of Jackson, Snake River Brewing Company of Jackson, Snowy Mountain Brewery of Saratoga, and Wind River Brewing Company of Pinedale.

Four Wyoming breweries took home medals at last year's GABF. Sheridan's Black Tooth Brewing won the silver medal in the Baltic-Style Porter category for their Black Eagle Baltic Porter. Jackson's Roadhouse Brewing Company claimed the silver medal in the Belgian-Style Fruit Beer category with their Saison en Regalia. Jackson's Snake River Brewing Company was awarded the silver medal in the Dortmunder or German-Style Oktoberfest category for their Rolling Thunder Dortmunder. And the Lander Brewing Company took the bronze medal in the Rye Beer category with their Rockchuck Rye.
