A Natrona County woman is in custody after allegedly trying to run over her husband with a pickup truck early Sunday.

Carly Lynn Jackson, 36, was arrested shortly before 9:30 a.m. Sunday for aggravated assault.

Court documents say Jackson's husband called police around 8:30 a.m. and said Jackson tried to hit him with a white Chevy Tahoe at a home on El Rio Road.

According to an affidavit, witnesses said they had gone with Carly Jackson to help her retrieve some of her belongings. While they were at the house, Jackson got into an argument with her husband. She allegedly got into the Tahoe and tried to hit her husband, per the affidavit.

One witness told an investigator that Jackson arrived at his house around 7:45 a.m. Sunday and asked if he would help get her belongings from the house on El Rio Road. Jackson allegedly said her husband had been acting weird lately and she wanted the witness to go with her.

They met up with two women, who were driving a separate vehicle, at a Loaf N Jug in Casper. They all headed out to the house on EL Rio Road.

When the group arrived, they started loading Jackson's belongings from the garage into the back of the Tahoe.

Then, the witness says, Jackson's husband pulled up and seemed upset. According to the husband's statement to police, he told Jackson he would not release any of their joint property unless the Natrona County Sheriff's Office was present.

The witness says Jackson's husband went into the garage and started arguing with her. Jackson's husband, according to the affidavit, says Jackson got mad and threw a staple gun at him.

The husband says he started to walk away, but Jackson slapped him on the back of the head.

He also alleges that Jackson had a hunting knife in her hand, grabbed him by the hoodie of his sweatshirt as he was walking away and yelled "I'm gonna stab you," according to the affidavit.

The husband says he was able to get away and get into the house, at which point Jackson dropped the knife and went back into the Tahoe.

Court documents say Jackson's husband walked back into the garage and headed toward the carport area, and Jackson allegedly accelerated as if to run him over.

She ended up hitting the exterior corner of the house, according to the affidavit. Jackson's husband says Jackson backed the truck up a bit, then accelerated forward again.

The husband says he was hit on the right buttocks and fell to the ground. He believed he was hit by the right front bumper of the Chevy Tahoe, according to the affidavit.

The witness says says he saw Jackson hit the side of the house and a parked van, according to court documents. He says he wasn't sure whether Jackson hit her husband, but he assumed that's what she was trying to do.

According to the affidavit, the witness tried to get in the passenger door of the Tahoe, but it was locked. He says he yelled at Jackson, "What are you doing?"

The witness then went around to the back of the pickup and jumped in the left rear passenger door.

Court documents say as they drove away, the witness asked Jackson what she was thinking, to which Jackson did not respond. She appeared very calm, the witness said. Then, she called her attorney.

The witness says he heard Jackson allegedly tell her attorney that she tried to run her husband over a couple of times, according to the affidavit.

Deputies reportedly collected the hunting knife as evidence. They also took photographs of the damage to the side of the house, the van, a PT Cruiser and the Chevy Tahoe.
