The National Hockey League championship begins next week as the expansion team, Vegas takes on Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals.

This will be the first time, ever, in any of the four major American sports that an expansion team in its first year will play for a championship.

Vegas beat Los Angeles, San Jose, and Winnipeg to advance to the title games. Washington knocked out Columbus, Pittsburgh, and Tampa Bay.

According to most lines in Vegas casinos, the Golden Knights are slightly favored.
