Just "wait" until you hear this.

There's a company in New York City called Same Ole Line Dudes that you can hire to get someone to wait in line for you.

The latest smartphone, concert tickets, a highly-anticipated sneaker -- no longer do you have to sit in lines, braving the elements until you can get your hands on whatever it is you covet so much you're willing to pay someone to wait for it.

Same Ole Line Dudes, or SOLD, will do the dirty and tedious work of sitting around for you. Yes, you can pay someone to wait, with the key word being "pay." It costs $25 for the first hour and $10 for each additional half-hour. As founder Robert Samuel -- who calls SOLD "Uber for line-waiting" -- so calmly informs us, a 48-hour wait is $965, although if you've ever been to the DMV or stuck at jury duty, you'd probably be willing to pony up twice that to get someone else to hang out in your stead.

It's a double-edged sword, though: you may not be able to wait in line because you have to work, yet if you hire a line-sitter, you're essentially working to pay for him. It's the living embodiment of the cliche "time is money."

Considering the job description is nothing more than sitting, it pays pretty well. Samuel says he can clear $1,000 in a good week, which means he'll have to go to the bank and wait in line to deposit his earnings.
