If it's not broke, don't fix it. And the pairing of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross with filmmaker David Fincher certainly isn't broke. As the musicians pair with the director for the third time on the score for the upcoming film 'Gone Girl,' new music has now surfaced online.

Reznor and Ross' hauntingly striking piece titled 'The Way He Looks At Me' has surfaced in several locations over the weekend, with fans being able to check it out at the Nine Inch Nails website, Ross' own Tumblr account and on the film website for 'Gone Girl.'

The pairing of Reznor and Ross with Fincher has already yielded an Oscar for Best Original Score for 'The Social Network' and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Score for 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.'

The new film finds Fincher adapting the popular Gillian Flynn thriller for the big screen, with Ben Affleck starring as a husband whose wife (Rosamund Pike) has gone missing. Reznor stated in a previous interview that Fincher asked him to "think about the really terrible music you hear in massage parlors. The way that it artificially tries to make you feel like everything's okay. And then imagine that sound starting to curdle and unravel."

The film arrives in theaters Oct. 3 and the trailer can be viewed below.
