My Darkest Days were all set to start in on the follow-up to their sophomore set, 'Sick and Twisted Affair,' as the calendar hit 2013, but things didn't go quite as planned.

The rock world was definitely in shock earlier today (Jan. 9), learning that not only was Adam Gontier exiting his post as singer of Three Days Grace, but that the band had already selected My Darkest Days frontman Matt Walst to replace him on their upcoming tour.

Shocker alert! Frontman Adam Gontier has resigned from Three Days Grace just weeks prior to their upcoming co-headlining tour with Shinedown. The band has replaced Gontier with My Darkest Days singer Matt Walst for the trek.

My Darkest Days announced over the weekend that their guitarist Sal Costa (pictured at far right above) had left the band, but the musician's exit actually dates back several months. With the news now out, the guitarist talked about the specifics of the split and why it took so long to reveal with Noisecreep.

My Darkest Days are down a member as they start to work on their next album. The band revealed via their social networks that guitarist Sal Costa (pictured at right above) is leaving the group after three years of growth and success.

My Darkest Days are digging deeper into their ‘Sick and Twisted Affair’ album, serving up the tormented track ‘Save Yourself’ as the next single, and to mark the occasion the band is premiering the new lyric video for the song with Loudwire.

Rock 96.7 fans gathered at the Casper Events Center to see Three Days Grace and My Darkest Days rock the roof off of the place. Men, women and children (OK not children) pulled out the leather, the hairspray, the ripped t-shirts and the spiky wristbands to witness two of rock's hardest of hardcore bands...
