Baseball has been around since the 1800s. So, by this point, we've pretty much seen everything there is to see. Not a whole lot surprises us anymore. Sure, every now and then you see an incredible play or some kind of anomaly, but nothing quite like this.

I get that men love balls! Footballs, baseballs, even golf balls - BUT, doesn't this magical thing happen when you have a kid? Some weird unexplainable, unimaginable love thing? Evidently not for this guy, or maybe she was adopted? Either way, he drops his kid to catch a foul ball...

While foul balls hit into the stands provide fans with the chance to make some pretty epic catches, those suckers are traveling at high enough speeds to cause an injury. During last night’s game against the Orioles, Yankees third baseman Eric Chavez almost catches a foul ball that was headed for the crowd. Remember that disturbing video "Two Girls, One Cup"? Well, the numbers are similar and although I find dumpster diving pretty disgusting, this video is not nearly as gross. However, this video does shows that a little bit of beer will make you do strange things and it reaffirms that I don't understand men...

Remember the kid who pouted and pouted till he got a ball? Well this is sorta like that, but to me, way classier.   VIA MLB.com
