Comedian Chris Rock was gracious and funny in his expletive-laden speech on Saturday as he welcomed the Red Hot Chili Peppers into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Though he may have seemed like an odd choice to induct the band, Rock is friends with the Peppers and directed their 2006 music video ‘Hump de Bump.’

While there is still one glaring omission from the list of presenters for the April 14 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, it does reveal that comedian Chris Rock and Public Enemy’s Chuck D will be a parts of the festivities.
