Atoms For Peace

It was a year of familiar faces in new places.

Every supergroup has an origin story but some are far more surprising than others.

Atoms for Peace are still making the rounds for their debut album, 'Amok,' which came out in February. Yesterday, Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich stopped by Nova Planet, a French radio program, and took over as DJs for 50 minutes. They even played a new song called 'Magic Beanz.'

Atoms for Peace have mapped out a fall North American tour in support of their long-awaited debut album, 'AMOK,' which dropped last month. The trek kicks off Sept. 24 in Philadelphia and so far consists of a mere six concerts spread out over nearly a month, so we wouldn't be surprised if more dates surface. It's slated to wind down Oct. 17 in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich continued their promotional tour for Atoms for Peace's recently released debut album by premiering a new mix on BBC Radio 1. The two-hour mix features music by Diplo, Steve Reich and, duh, Atoms for Peace.

Atoms for Peace have lined up more dates for a European summer tour that's slated to kick off July 6 in Paris and is now scheduled through a three-night (July 24-26) stand in London.
