SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT UNTIL 4PM FRIDAY

AN APPROACHING STORM SYSTEM AND COLD FRONT WILL AID IN A RAPID INCREASE IN THE SOUTHWEST WIND ACROSS THE AREA THIS MORNING. SOUTHWEST WIND WILL INCREASE TO 30 TO 40 MPH FOR MUCH OF THE AREA WITH GUSTS OF 45 TO 55 MPH. TRAVELERS ALONG INTERSTATE 25, HIGHWAYS 287, 20 26 AND 220 SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR VERY STRONG SOUTHWEST WINDS THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING INCLUDING OUTER DRIVE IN CASPER. WINDS WILL DIMINISH LATER THIS EVENING.
