As most people get ready to tune into the Oscars on Sunday night (8PM ET, ABC), there are a lot of last minute prognostications surfacing. One of those offering his two cents on Oscar night is Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell, who delivered his predictions via a Facebook post.

We've decided to compare Cornell's picks to the Vegas odds and to the picks by our friends at movie site ScreenCrush. For Best Picture, Cornell is choosing Birdman to take home the prize. The film has definitely gained some steam in recent months, as The Wynn Las Vegas recently had the movie at even money, with Boyhood right on its tail at 6-5 odds. Meanwhile, ScreenCrush's Mike Sampson and Matt Singer were split on their decision, with Sampson taking Birdman and Singer picking Boyhood.

The vocalist went with Birdman's Michael Keaton for Best Actor. While Keaton is definitely in the Oscar hunt, The Theory of Everything's Eddie Redmayne remains the frontrunner of many prognosticators. One of the biggest near locks is Julianne Moore for Best Actress for her role in Still Alice. Cornell chose Moore, as did The Wynn and ScreenCrush's duo.

The other near lock is Whiplash star JK Simmons for Best Supporting Actor. Simmons has won just about every award and critics circle pick so far and the Soundgarden vocalist made that his pick as well. Perhaps the biggest reach in the singer's choices comes in the Best Supporting Actress category where he took Laura Dern for her role in the film Wild. Patricia Arquette has won just about every award for her maternal role in Boyhood, while Dern was projected as the biggest long shot by The Wynn.

For Best Director, Cornell picks Alejandro Inarritu to take home the Oscar for his work on Birdman. ScreenCrush's Mike Sampson and Matt Singer split on the Director race, with Sampson taking Inarritu and Singer going with Boyhood's Richard Linklater. As for screenplay, the Soundgarden vocalist chose The Imitation Game for Best Adapted Screenplay and Birdman for Best Original Screenplay.

How will it all play out? You'll have to tune in to the Oscars on ABC Sunday night to find out, but in the interim, let Cornell's Oscar picks help you in making your decision for your Oscar pool.
