Taking a page out of Arcade Fire's playbook, Ryan Adams played a special cover of Alice In Chains' 'Nutshell' while performing Monday in the band's hometown of Seattle.

Adams originally covered the 'Jar of Flies' favorite during his 2011 'Acoustic Nightmare' tour and it was released as a tour-exclusive 7-inch that also featured a collaboration with his wife, Mandy Moore.

'Nutshell' isn't Adams' only foray into the world of Alice In Chains'; the singer-songwriter performed 'Down In a Hole' live on his 2007 tour in support of 'Easy Tiger' and later released it on the 'Follow the Lights' EP.

As Relix notes, this is the first time, however, that Adams has played 'Nutshell' backed by his new band, the Shining. Check out fan-shot footage below.
