It was an interesting weekend for the band Helmet.

After playing a concert in Billings Friday night, the veteran hard rock group nearly got stranded in Wyoming when their tour bus broke down on I-25, between Casper and Wheatland.

Luckily, the band and crew loaded their gear into a trailer and rented a U-Haul truck. They made it to Denver, just in time for their gig Saturday night at the Marquis Theatre.

Helmet singer Paige Hamilton joked about the incident onstage, telling the audience they were almost forced to move the show to the "side of the road in the middle of Wyoming".

Helmet isn't the only 90s-rock band to get stuck in the Cowboy State this year. In March, the Smashing Pumpkins tour bus was stranded in Rock Springs during a blizzard.
