Pearl Jam's Jeff Ament was born in Montana.

Ament has given his permission to the small rural community of Stevensville, Montana to let people know he's behind their effort to build a skateboard park.

"[Ament] basically gave us permission to shout it from the rooftops. He is behind the project money-wise. He wants to build a bowl unlike anything that's been seen in Montana before," the proposed skateboard park's co-chairman Raymond Smith told the Ravalli Republic. "He fell in love with the location. He kept looking at the mountains. He said he wanted to skate here."

Skateboard parks cost money. Jeff has donated a signed skateboard to be auctioned to build the park.

"We are a small rural community in Montana," writes the Stevensville Skatepark Committee on their GoFundMe page. "This will help many in our community with a place to create bonds, build confidence and gain life lessons."

The skateboard features autographs from all five Pearl Jam members and is covered in the band's stickers. Bidding is now open and will run through July 5 on eBay.
