Pearl Jam will be performing at this year’s Global Citizen Festival on Sept. 26 in New York City’s Central Park. Coldplay, Beyonce and Ed Sheeran are also signed on to play at the event aimed at ending extreme poverty by 2030.

Those interested in attending can earn free tickets by performing certain tasks, called 'action journeys' to help promote some of the goals of the United Nations. Those goals include protecting the earth, fighting inequality and irradiating extreme poverty and are part of the new Global Goals that will be officially announced in September by the UN General Assembly in New York.

To be entered to win a pair of free tickets to the benefit concert, head here to sign up to be a global citizen and click “Join The Movement.” You're then led to a page with eight actions. Once you complete those eight tasks that include things like sending tweets, signing petitions and writing an e-mail, you will then be able to enter the raffle to win a pair of free tickets. 4,000 winners will be chosen on July 29, which is the first raffle; 'action journeys' and raffles will occur five times before the Sept. 26 concert.

In a statement posted on Rolling Stone, Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard talked about the event. He said, "We hope Pearl Jam fans will sign up to become Global Citizens – not just to earn tickets to the show – but to be part of a movement that encourages leaders of nations with the greatest wealth to apply aid, trade and governance policies in support of nations and communities in the greatest need. People living on less $1.50-a-day deserve the opportunity to lift themselves up out of extreme poverty."

Right now, it's estimated that over 1 billion people across the world are living in extreme poverty and the Global Citizen Festival has been raising awareness about this issue since 2012.  In previous years, artists like Foo Fighters, Sting and Neil Young have performed at the event in honor of the cause.

Besides winning tickets to this year's event, those who participate in actions on certain days will get the chance to win some extra prizes like VIP tickets, festival merchandise and meet and greets with the artists. Those who aren't lucky enough to win can still watch the benefit at home. It is set to be streamed live on TV and YouTube. To learn more about the Global Citizen Festival, head here.
