As we reported at the tail of May, Papa Roach launched a PledgeMusic campaign to help fund the recording of their next album. Though no details regarding the F.E.A.R. successor have surfaced as of yet, the band has released the first single, titled "Crooked Teeth."

A thud opens up the song with a rolling drum fill and sustained cords building the tension. With a brief pause and spotlight guitar spot, a lumbering groove backs Jacoby Shaddix, whose hip-hop inflected shouting guides the verse. With another short dropout, Shaddix whispers before delivering an infectious, pop-punk styled chorus.

The song is a mishmash of a variety of styles Papa Roach have entertained throughout the last nearly two decades, even tossing in a bass moment that brings to mind artists like Drake.

Pre-orders for the yet-to-be-titled album are available now at the Papa Roach PledgeMusic page. No release date has been given, but those who pledge will have instant access to an updates page with streams of new songs, videos of the band recording in the studio and pictures of them at home and more.

The campaign includes a swath of interesting options including disposable cameras with behind-the-scenes photos, handwritten lyrics, signed vinyl, a signed piece of a live Papa Roach backdrop and a lot more.
