The Carolina Panthers were counting on wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin to lead the receiving corp in 2015.

The team announced late on Wednesday that Benjamin will miss the entire 2015 season, after tearing his ACL in training camp.

General Manager Dave Gettleman spoke highly of the second year receiver, "we're confident he will attack his surgery and rehab with the same determination he has met all challenges before."

This is a deflating injury for the Panthers moving forward. Benjamin's rookie year was stellar with 73 receptions and over one thousand receiving yards.
