The Natrona County Commission renewed the liquor licenses of businesses in the county not overseen by municipalities, and approved the rents for the cabins and trailer lots at Alcova Lake during its regular meeting Tuesday.

Natrona County Clerk Renea Vitto told commissioners her office has not received any letters supporting or opposing any of the renewals, nor has she heard of any significant complaints from law enforcement about any of the license-holding businesses.

However, the Rimrock Bar near Midwest needs to submit paperwork to the county by March 31 showing it is meeting the annual minimum $2,000 purchases of alcoholic beverages from the Wyoming Liquor Commission, Vitto said. If the owner fails to meet that deadline, the county will suspend the license.

During the public hearing, no one spoke in favor of or opposition to the renewals.

The commission accepted her statement and without further discussion renewed the licenses for these businesses:

  • Alcova Resort, LLC.
  • C.C. Cowboys, Inc., doing business as Racks.
  • Grace Partners, LLC, doing business as Sky Terrace.
  • The Shoe, Inc., doing business as The Horseshoe Bar.
  • Henderson Irrevocable Trust, doing business as Lazy 8.
  • Northern Dreams.
  • Debra Peterson, doing business as Rimrock Bar.
  • C. Leann Moses, doing business as Mountain Home.
  • Richardson & Richardson, Inc., doing business as Hiland’s Bright Spot.

This business had its restaurant liquor license renewed:

  • Ronald Strang, doing business as Black Gold Grille.

These businesses had their limited retail liquor licenses renewed:

  • Casper Boat Club.
  • Casper Country Club.

These businesses had their retail county malt beverage permits renewed:

  • Black Ops, LLC, doing business as Sloane’s General Store.
  • Pathfinder Boat Club.
  • Natrona County Fair Association, doing business as Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo.

On a consent agenda item, the commissioners also approved the lease agreements of the cabin and trailer lot leases at Alcova Reservoir.

The U.S. Department of Interior's Bureau of Reclamation owns the water and the shoreline of the Pathfinder, Alcova and Gray Reef reservoirs.

Natrona County manages the surrounding land including leasing cabins, trailer lot spaces, and other amenities. The county applies those rents, set at market rates, for improvements.

This year, the county is leasing the 34 lakeside cabins for $3,250 each. The county is leasing the 56 non-lakeside cabins for $2,050 each. The county also collects $60 for trash collection for the cabins.

The county is leasing each of the 133 trailer lots for $2,450 each. The county also charges a $100 for water, sewer, and trash collection.

In other business, the Natrona County Sheriff's Office, through the commission, received an award of $84,240 from the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation to pay for the salary and other costs of a deputy in 2017 for the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program. The federal money is passed through the DCI.
