Natrona County Authorities Ask Public for Help in Search for Convicted Sex Offender
The Natrona County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to help find a convicted sex offender who is wanted on a criminal warrant.
Markieth Shondell Wheeler, 44, is wanted for failure to register as a sex offender, which is a felony offense. He was convicted in California in 1998 of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor who was at least three years younger than Wheeler at the time.
His lifetime sex offender registration was last verified Oct. 14. He may also be known as Mark Wheeler, Markeith Shondell Wheeler and Markieth Shonder Wheeler, according to the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation's sex offender registry.
Wheeler is described as standing six feet tall, weighing 207 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
His last listed address was at the mission in Casper, but attempts by law enforcement to locate Wheeler there have been unsuccessful.
Anyone with information on Wheler's whereabouts is asked to call the Natrona County Sheriff's Office at 307-235-9282.
