Motorhead are no more, but what a legacy they left behind. Fans will get a chance to peek further behind the curtain of the band's career in the future thanks to a book that guitarist Phil Campbell has started on, recalling some of his most favorite stories from his time with the band.

During an interview with Headbanger's Lifestyle (seen in the video above), Campbell was asked if there were thoughts of having a film made about his life, at which point he revealed his book project.

"I don't want a film about my life; no way. I'm working on a book of the funny stuff. I don't want a life story; I just want the funny stuff. [It's] gotta be documented, 'cause some of it's pretty bizarre and unbelievable. It's totally funny, though. [It's a book about] my experiences. It's what would normally not happen if you weren't in this band," explained Campbell [as transcribed by Blabbermouth]

The guitarist revealed that it may be some time before the book arrives, stating, "I'm seriously working on it now in January. It'll be a year or two [before it's released], but it'll be worth it."

After Lemmy Kilmister's death in late December, the group disbanded. Drummer Mikkey Dee has sat in on a few special concert performances and recently agreed to join Thin Lizzy for their dates later this year. As for Campbell, he's not revealed any future music plans, but the guitarist has played on the side with his Phil Campbell's All-Starr Band in recent years.
