Modest Mouse Confirm New Record Set for March 2015 Release

Last week, Modest Mouse shared a photo of a 7-inch single for their song, ‘Lampshades On Fire.’ This simple snapshot led to speculation that a new record might be in the works.

Following the photo, a representative from Epic Records allegedly confirmed that Modest Mouse would in fact release a new studio album in the first quarter of the new year. And today (Dec. 14), we’ve received even more concrete information that new music is on its way.

In a statement released by the band, the new record, ‘Strangers to Ourselves,’ will hit the streets on March 3, 2015. The lead single, ‘Lampshades On Fire,’ will be available for purchase on Dec. 16 (and we’re guessing most radio stations will be spinning it a day early).
