Metallica has proven if you play all seven continents in a year, it's worthy of the Guinness World Records book, which by the way hits stores next week.

Metallica became the first and only  band to accomplish the feat. The Freeze 'Em All show in  Antarctica was "the gig of a lifetime" according to James Hetfield.

The band performed ten tracks during the hour-long show. Because of the frigid conditions, amplifiers had to be enclosed in isolation cabinets and the sound transmitted to the audience via headphones.

Other artists earning a spot in the Guinness World Records 2015 book include Miley Cyrus, Shakira, One Direction, Katy Perry and Eminem who set the record for the "Most Words in a Hit Single" -- 1,560 words in 6 minutes, 4 seconds -- for "Rap God."
