Injuries are inevitable with tens of thousands of people expected to arrive in Casper for the Eclipsefest this weekend, and the main event, the total eclipse of the sun Monday morning.
"Getting to the right facility can mean the difference between catching the big event and waiting while medical professionals treat patients with more serious conditions than you," according to a news release from the Wyoming Medical Center.

The hospital has participated in eclipse planning since organizers have been meeting regularly more than a year ago, spokeswoman Kristy Bleizeffer said.

Three levels of care available from now through Monday, Bleizeffer said.

1. If you are at one of the major eclipse events and you have a minor medical issue -- a cut, sunburn, not feeling well, feeling lightheaded -- visit one of the first aid stations and a health care professional can guide you to where you need to go, she said.

2. For intermediate injuries and medical issues, visit clinics operated by the Wyoming Medical Center or other health care facilities with walk-in clinics.

The Wyoming Medical Center has two clinics:  Sage Primary Care and Mesa/Immediate Care.
