“It’s 2012, the year of the Mayan calendar, according to some, say the world is going to end. What better time than to embark on a world tour?” These are the words of Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe as he describes the epic journey the band are currently filming for the documentary, ‘As the Palaces Burn.’

In a world plagued by violence, political unrest and massive socio-economic disproportion, music is the flame which draws us closer together as human beings. With this knowledge cemented into the minds that form Lamb of God, the band has been melting faces in countries such as China, India, Columbia, Venezuela, Mexico, Israel and many more for an original twist on the touring documentary concept.

Speaking about the forthcoming film ‘As the Palaces Burn,’ Randy Blythe offered some deeply personal insight into the purpose of the documentary. “Something about this music is obviously making a connection that crosses cultural, ethnic, socio-economic boundaries,” began Blythe. “There is no, “You’re Christian, Jewish, Islamic, Buddhist, Hindu, whatever the f— you are,” I look out at any show I go to and I see the audience and i see some 16-year-old kid and I look there and I’m like, ‘That’s me.’”

Along with the captivating trailer for ‘As the Palaces Burn,’ Lamb of God have unveiled a new music video for the track ‘Desolation’ from their latest album, ‘Resolution.’
