Listen to Jack White’s Record-Breaking Record
Jack White said he was going to make the world's fastest record on Record Store Day, and whddaya know? He managed to record, press, prepare the artwork and release a record in a mere three hours and 21 minutes on Saturday.
The record features a live version of the title track to his upcoming album 'Lazaretto,' which comes out on June 10. The former White Stripes frontman recorded the song at his Third Man Records studio in Nashville.
You can watch a video about the process above. If you want to skip right to the music, it shows up around the seven-minute mark.
After White performed the song, it was sent to a local pressing plant and turned into 7" singles that were sold outside of his Nashville studio on Record Store Day Saturday. The record's sleeve includes photos taken at the recording session.
