Jack White stopped by the studios of ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ not just as a musical guest, but also an interview guest with the ebullient TV host. Check out the chat in the video above.

After his performance -- hopefully video will be shared soon, stay tuned! -- he sat down with DeGeneres and opened up about his recent ankle injury, children and vinyl. In a little more than two minutes, the two covered just about everything.

“That’s grotesque, isn’t it,” Jack White said as he saw a photo of his ankle. He explained how he was told to cancel the tour after hurting himself, but told DeGeneres, “It’s just too much trouble. I hate canceling anything. It’s so disappointing for everybody.” The audience erupted with applause.

He also discussed his parenting strategy with his two children, and that their household does not support video games. “I like to keep them centered on things that are mechanical,” he said. “No video games. We’ll buy a pinball game for you.”

As he took a breath from still being winded from his performance, DeGeneres brought out a vinyl copy of ‘Lazaretto’ and told White, “I love your music so much, it’s so diverse ... I think it would be wonderful to bring vinyl back.”

White understood her sentiments, though had a little different perspective: “It’s back.”

For those lucky fans in the audience, DeGeneres and White sent everyone home with a copy of the new vinyl.

White is currently on the road supporting ‘Lazaretto,’ and recently just announced two massive shows in Nashville and New York City -- get details on those arena gigs here.
