I’m new to Wyoming. I’ve been here about a month now, and I love it. Having lived all my life in Colorado, there have been a few times where I’ve had that “You’re not in Kansas anymore, Toto” moment. This is my top ten list of things I’ve said that made me realize that I’m no longer in Colorado.
"Whoa, it’s windy again."
"I’m surrounded by big trucks. I feel so tiny in my Prius."
"Do any of these streets go straight? Roads you are drunk. Go home."
"Where are all the Spanish translations? No hay nada."
"Is there something wrong with my car? It smells funny. Oh, wait, I’m in Mills again."
"There are no cars on the highway. I see more cows than anything else."
"Where are the packs of spandex clad bicyclists obstructing traffic?"
"Look those antlers in the truck are still attached to the buck."
"I’ve yet to see one 'meat is murder' bumper sticker, but there are a plethora of McCain - Palin stickers"
"Is someone smoking weed, nope that is a dead skunk."
