Highly Suspect are ready to rock you and leave you a little disarmed with their new video for "Serotonia."

The clip centers on Highly Suspect frontman Johnny Stevens, and that's a bit of an understatement as Stevens is pretty much front and center throughout the clip, which switches back and forth between him in a desert landscape, hanging out in an abandoned home ravaged by the elements and a wintery scene in which a pale Stevens lets snow fall upon his shirtless body. Through it all, you see Stevens' expressions as he sings to the camera.

Stevens told Noisey, who premiered the clip, "I've spent the past five years living in Bed-Stuy, N.Y. and I will always consider Brooklyn a home base, but more recently I've been spending all of my free time in Los Angeles. It's so new to me, strange; hopeful. On the surface the song is about moving to California but that's really just a metaphor. Life is changing. I'm leaving my twenties and I want to head towards the sun so to speak. Done a lot of growing in this past year and all I've learned is that there is so much more to learn. We filmed the snowy scenes on my roof during the blizzard we just had in New York, and the desert parts were shot in Joshua Tree, Calif."

As for the singer's prominent role in the clip, he adds, "Didn’t want to complicate things. I feel lyrics should always paint a strong visual on their own otherwise, what the f--k are you writing? It's best when people actually pay attention to what you're saying, you know? I wanted the viewer to feel me in this one. Like we were standing in the same room, sharing the same space."

In addition to starring in the clip, Stevens directed the video and the band is credited with writing the treatment.
