A gas thief led Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers on a high-speed chase on Highway 25 Monday afternoon.

Officers got a call at 1pm that someone has pumped gas at a station in Douglas, and then sped away without paying. The station owner got a license number which was from Colorado.

When he entered Natrona County, the Highway Patrol gave chase starting around the Beverly Street exit on Interstate 25.  It continued across and then north past Bar Nunn where the troopers deployed spike strips and the car finally came to a stop.

The man was arrested with no resistance, and if now facing several charges in addition to the theft of gasoline. No identification has been released yet.
