Ghost Town Gumbo Cookoff Is Saturday

The First Annual Pioneer Games and First Annual Ghost Town Gumbo Cook-Off is Saturday in the Parking Lot of the Casper Events Center. All the fun gets jumping at 11:30am. Admission is $10, $15, $25, and $35.

First Annual Ghost Town Gumbo Cook-Off

Form a team and cook either a seafood gumbo, meat gumbo, or BOTH! $125 for one or $200 for both. If you pay before 05/19/2014 then $100 and $175. Each entry comes with 4-entry tickets. You will need a minimum of 5 gallons per entry made from scratch on-site. RV Parking available! Come Friday and set-up camp! (No electricity or water). Bring your camper, tents and or RVs. We start cooking Saturday morning to provide judges gumbo by 11:30 am, and serve the public at 12 o'clock noon!

First Annual Pioneer Games

Get ready to begin your journey at St. Joseph with stops along the way at Fort Laramie, Fort Caspar, Independence Rock and more! Your adventure begins playing games from the 1800s, finding your buffalo chips for fuel, making your mark at Independence Rock, climbing the Sierra Nevadas, taking a Handcart to Salt Lake City, Ferrying across the "River", being a Pony Express Rider and so much more! The games are open to all age groups.
