Ever wonder what it would be like to live in a city without a police force?

It would most likely be mayhem, but Ford City, Pa., has that as an option because of it's overwhelming debt.

The city council has a proposal that offers hiring a nearby municipality, hiring a non-union chief and getting rid of part-time officers, and disbanding their police force to leave them with no cost, WPXI 11 News reports.

Residents are worried about their safety.

The mayor, Marc Mantini, said they might as well put up a sign that says: "Heroin dealers welcome."
