We were shocked and saddened when we read the news recently that the WWE had laid off 7 percent of its staff, showing a bunch of washed-up wrestlers the door.

If they didn't catch on with fans, chances are they didn't make the cut.

Thankfully, the other night, "Conan" took the opportunity to pay homage to these almost-made-its. He brought out each laid off wrestler, one by one, to thank them for their years of service with the company.
