In case you've ever wondered how much overlap exists between Foo Fighters fans and Jeopardy! contestants, the answer appears to be "not much" — at least not the other night, anyway.

Consequence of Sound reports that the band was the subject of an entire category on the show's July 13 episode, and although the results weren't a complete disaster, it quickly became apparent that Foos trivia wasn't a strong point for any of the contestants.

Questions regarding Foos frontman Dave Grohl's previous band, and the story behind the Foo Fighters' name, were both answered correctly. But once the category moved into tougher questions, things went downhill: an answer regarding the group's Sonic Highways LP whiffed, as did answers relating to "My Hero" and the Foos' performance on the final night of The Late Show with David Letterman. (The evening also included a "Learn to Fly" category, but luckily for the contestants, it had nothing to do with the band.) You can check it out — and test your own Foo fanhood — via the video embed above.

It'll be awhile before the Foo Fighters are responsible for any Jeopardy! answers, but prospective contestants have plenty of time to bone up on their band knowledge in the meantime. The group's currently on indefinite hiatus following the release of their free Saint Cecilia EP last year, and the ordinarily prolific Grohl has spent his downtime largely out of the spotlight; among his most public music-related projects was conducting an interview with Lionel Richie for a SiriusXM town hall event in May.
