Tuesday night brought lots of festive lights and big bucks as it was time for the annual 29th Annual Festival of Trees benefiting Special Olympics.

Hundreds of people attended this year's event at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds Industrial Building.  Attendees were treated to great food and beverages and got an opportunity to bid on live and silent auction items.

There were some fantastic trees donated by local area businesses including a whiskey tree, a wine tree, a chocolate tree, teddy bear trees and lots more.

The tree that brought in the most money this year was tree #23 (seen above) donated by Remax the Group titled 'Catch the Spirit of Christmas' bringing in $3100.

Other top earners were the 'Whiskey Tree' #21 donated by Poplar Wine and Spirits, and the 'Mile High Sports Fever Tree' #14, each bringing in $2100.

All the proceeds from the event support Special Olympics Wyoming and help provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults alike.

Check out some of our favorite trees (below) including the 'May the Force of Christmas be With You (Star Wars) Tree' donated by First Interstate Bank.  Then be sure not to miss next year's festival of trees and support Special Olympics Wyoming.
