Father of Boy Who Almost Drowned in the North Platte Gives Council an Ultimatum

K2 Radio News has spoken with the father of one of the two boys swept away in the North Platte River two weeks ago

And he has given the Casper city Council an ultimatum.

Troy Bray is the father of 8-year-old Rhys Bray, who was rescued shortly after he and his friend 11-year-old Alex Cressey were carried downstream by the currents. Alex’s body was recovered later that week.

Troy Bray, who has run for the Natrona County Commission representing the Constitution Party, told the council to remove the artificial whitewater section of the river, or he will sue to get it done.

Bray told K2 it was not a course he would prefer, and that this was his way of asking “nicely.”

Many have commented that the boys were not properly supervised.

Bray told K2 that they are jumping to conclusions, but Bray would not explain exactly what did happen.

At the Council meeting, there was some discussion by city fathers, but no decision made.
