The wait is almost over. Faith No More now have a title and release date for their first new disc since 1997's 'Album of the Year.' Look for 'Sol Invictus' heading to stores and online as of May 19.

The disc will be released by Mike Patton's Ipecac Recordings in coordination with Reclamation Recordings. Bassist Bill Gould recently stated, "What I can say is that I think through our experience as musicians over the years, I think what we're doing reflects where we've gone since we made our last record as Faith No More. I think this kicks things up a notch. And I think there's parts that are very powerful and there's parts that have a lot of 'space.' Everything we do, with our chemistry, the way we play; it's always going to sound like us. It's just what we do, that makes us feel good.“ Gould served as producer on the effort, which was recorded in the group's studio in Oakland, Calif.

Faith No More have already given fans a little taste of new music. The song 'Motherf---er' was released last fall as part of Record Store Day's 'Black Friday' promotion. Meanwhile, a song called 'Superhero' is expected to be released as the album's first single in March.

The band is hitting the road for a world tour in support of 'Sol Invictus.' Dates can be found below.
