CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming legislators are looking at drafting tighter regulations for licensing elderly drivers in the state.

33 states already have special requirements like vision tests for drivers over a certain age, and a legislative committee may add Wyoming to that list.

Cheyenne Republican Rep. Dave Zwonitzer co-chairs the Joint Transportation, Highways and Military Affairs Interim Committee that's meeting Tuesday to examine the issue.

He says the group of lawmakers is looking at data and laws in other states to help determine what is needed or will work in Wyoming.
