Many Wyoming motorists and residents are being urged to use caution in flooded areas, particularly in the northern and central part of the state.

Wyoming Department of Transportation spokesman Cody Beers posted several photos from the area just west of Riverton and east of Dubois showing flooding over the highway. US 26 has been closed and motorists are being re-routed through Wyoming 132 for west-bound traffic and US 287 for east bound traffic.

According to Beers "WYDOT personnel are stationed at the road-closed gates on each end of the closure, and they are available to assist drivers with information regarding detours. The road-closed gates will be manned throughout the night Wednesday, and as long as water continues to flow across U.S. 26."
