Every day, I get about ten event invites on Facebook. House parties, concerts, graduations, fundraisers, business parties...they vary quite a bit - and they tend to get lost in the shuffle.

I do make a conscience effort to look at all of my event invites at least once a week so I can spread the word on our websites about some great local events. It's my duty to help the community become aware of what's happening in town, after all...but after a while, they all start to look the same. I used to click "going" to every one, but having to go in to each individual invite and stop the notifications gets annoying. Now, they pretty much live on some tab that I usually have to remind myself to check. I feel bad, because these events are important to the person that created them, but that doesn't mean it's something I think people care about. Or have time for. Or can afford. Or...well, you get the idea.

Am I the only one who treats these invites this way? Am I just being a whiny douche, or can you relate? Take the poll below, and we'll post the results next week. Who knows, maybe together we can change people's event-invite habits...
