Though the Foo Fighters’ album ‘Sonic Highways’ has arrived and frontman Dave Grohl’s corresponding HBO series aired its final episode last week (Dec. 5), the singer is still offering fans new insights into the project.

Grohl recently recorded a show for iTunes Radio with more details about the eight cities and countless bands that helped propel ‘Sonic Highways’ into existence. Discussing how environment influenced the music scenes of his subject matter -- Chicago, D.C., Nashville, Austin, L.A., New Orleans, Seattle and New York City -- and how that music inspired Grohl’s own career, the show makes for an engaging listen.

Throughout the show, Grohl takes listeners through different songs and tells his personal stories behind them. And if you like what you hear, you can buy the songs as they're played. Ready to listen? Head over to iTunes Radio to check it out.
