For all intents and purposes, Courtney Love has practically been a model citizen lately -- at least in comparison to the antics that she’s become known for. Perhaps this is a sign of maturity from the grunge queen, which could explain why, in a recent interview with Q magazine, she said she would like to return to her acting career.

“Rock 'n' roll is great, and I’m good at it, and I like myself onstage better than I like myself in real life and all that stuff,” she pointed out in the interview. “But I really, really like acting. As I get older, the acting is something I want to do more of.”

Though Love made a name for herself as the leader of Hole and the wife of Kurt Cobain, she’s also made several appearances on the silver screen — most notably in ‘Sid and Nancy’ and ‘The People vs. Larry Flynt,’ which earned her a Golden Globe nomination.

In the interview, Love noted that acting brings out her best, saying that she "never had any behavior problems on a film shoot. Never been late. Never not gotten along with another actor, even if I don't like them."

Clearly, Love recognizes just as well as we do that that's really saying something. For now, though, we'll just have to wait and see if this state of relative calm will translate into new acting opportunities for the singer.

In the meantime, here she is being all Courtney Love in her new music video:
