Conwell Park Lights Up For The 2015 Winter Holiday Season [PHOTOS,VIDEO]

The holiday season has arrived in Casper.

With the help of Santa and Mrs. Claus, the lights were turned on at Conwell Park across the street from the Wyoming Medical Center.

Several dozen trees were decorated, in what is now known as Holiday Square, which is now in its 18th season.

Caryn Lubero is the Executive Director of the Wyoming Medical Center Foundation.

She says the lights serves two purposes.

The first is to give patients staying over night at the Wyoming Medical Center, something to look at each night.

The second is that it kicks-off the holiday season.

"We always do it the Sunday before Thanksgiving, and get everyone in a festive mood and with all the lights on the trees and everything, there's 70,000 lights. We do it to get our community together. We like to have our hospital be part of the community, and show what we can do for our neighbors and everyone who lives in this area."

The lights will remain on each night from dusk until dawn, up until the New Years Holiday.

The downtown Casper Holiday Parade is scheduled for Saturday, November 28th.
