A Cheyenne man who led authorities on a chase down Yellowstone Road last year that resulted in an injury accident has been sentenced to four years of probation.

Twenty-seven-year-old Dean Jackson was sentenced yesterday (Monday) in Laramie County District Court.

Jackson hit a light pole and rolled his car near the intersection of Yellowstone Road and Four Mile Road on Aug. 2, 2016, trying to flee from special agents. He and his nephew, Ryan Romero, were both injured in the crash.

At the time, Jackson had a felony warrant out for his arrest for failing to appear on multiple counts of sexual exploitation of a child. He was tried on the charges in April, but the jury ended up deadlocked.

If Jackson violates any terms of his probation, he could face four to six years in prison.
