The Casper Police Department has released the results of their School Zone Traffic Enforcement for the week of January 29th, 2018. Officials say Officer Darren Douglas made 29 traffic stops and issued 42 tickets in the school zones located around Frontier Middle School and Cottonwood Elementary.

The previous week, he made 38 traffic stops and issued 53 tickets in school zones around Oregon Trail Elementary, Journey Elementary, and Natrona County High School, and issued 53 tickets for traffic violations. CPD described the past week's  results as "much better", and said they would like to thank the drivers who are mindful of schools zones and drive 20 m.p.h.

A high volume of traffic complaints prompted the weekly extra enforcement efforts, which the Casper Police Department posts on their Facebook Page in an effort to make people more aware of their driving habits, they say.

We will also post the enforcement locations each week, along with the results of those efforts.
