Two Casper residents were arrested Saturday morning after police searched their home and found methamphetamine paraphernalia just a few feet from where a young boy had been watching television.

Lance Allyn Muir and Stevi Lee Mannarino were each booked into jail on recommended charges of child endangerment with methamphetamine, felony methamphetamine possession, felony marijuana possession and being under the influence of methamphetamine.

According to affidavits of probable cause, Police officers responded to a home in the 1200 Block of S. Durbin St. after a probation and parole agent had a client test positive for methamphetamine, leading them to request police assistance with a home compliance check.

When the officers knocked on the front door shortly after 9 a.m. Muir stepped outside and shut the door behind him. During the moment the door was open, however, officers smelled the odor of marijuana.

Muir explained that he was under the supervision of probation and parole, and he allegedly admitted that the odor was that of marijuana. He agreed to go inside and retrieve marijuana paraphernalia for the officers, turning over a few grinders, a black container with marijuana inside, suspected marijuana bowls and other items.

Muir also allegedly admitted that he had recently used methamphetamine and said that meth paraphernalia would be found inside the residence.

Officers entered the home and saw Mannarino laying in a bed, with a child on the floor just outside the bedroom watching television.

Three methamphetamine pipes were found inside the home, along with a ''tooter" used to snort the drug. The pipes were found inside a case which was beneath the pillow on which Mannarino had been laying, just a few feet from where the child had been watching television.

Mannarino and Muir allegedly admitted that they had recently used meth and discussed getting clean. They were each arrested and Muir's parole was revoked.
