Casper Man Sentenced For Sexual Abuse of 8-Year-Old

A Casper man accused of sexually abusing a young girl over the course of three years, has been sentenced to 65-70 years in prison.

31-year-old Joshua Allen McCullough was originally charged with 26 sex crimes during his arraignment in February in Natrona County District Court.

He pleaded guilty to two counts of first degree sexual abuse of a minor, two counts of first degree sexual assault, and one count of second degree second abuse of minor.

Court documents say the Natrona County Sheriff's Office began investigating after the 11-year-old victim was taken to Wyoming Medical Center and examiners found physical evidence of sexual abuse.

The investigation revealed that when the victim was eight years old, McCullough allegedly started showing her pornographic videos depicting incest.

According to the affidavit, McCullough progressed to physical abuse which continued over the course of three years at several different locations in Natrona County.

The victim reportedly said she was worried that McCullough was beginning to abuse her younger relative as well.

McCullough allegedly admitted to investigators that he had a sexual attraction to children and referred to himself as a pedophile, according to charging documents.

He reportedly told police that roughly 60 sex acts took place over the three-year span.

Investigators identified eight different sex acts after reviewing a forensic interview and McCullough's statement, according to court papers.

Officers also learned that McCullough was the suspect in at least three more sexual assaults in 2011.

McCullough was accused of raping two women who were each 15 years old at the time and another woman.
