While the chatter has died down immensely over the last few years, there are still plenty of Casperites who claim that "there's nothing to do in this town!". These people aren't trying very hard.

Just look at the Casper College department of theater and dance. All week long, they are hosting Stephen Sondheim's "A Little Night Music". From Friday, July 18th - Sunday July 27th, the McMurry Mainstage in the Gertrude Krampert Theater Complex will be home to this award winning comic musical. According to their Facebook event page:

The stimulating night of the Summer Solstice provides the magical backdrop for Stephen Sondheim's comic musical, A Little Night Music. Star-crossed lovers frolic in the Scandinavian woods trying to correct their foolish misalliances and find their true love! Part Chekovian romance, part Midsummer Night’s Dream this musical has been captivating audiences since it first won the Tony Award for Best Musical in 1973. Vocal artists as varied as Judy Collins to Frank Sinatra have recorded the show's biggest hit, Send in the Clowns. Don't miss this magical evening!

Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for children ages 5-18. There is a $2 per ticket discount for groups of 10 or more. The show runs July 18, 19; 23-26, at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee on Sunday, July 27 at 2 p.m.
